Scott Denniston

Scott Denniston has been involved with the game since age 6 in Blue Valley, KS. He has coached more than 50 team seasons, at the recreational, travel and cup/academy levels in Butler, PA over the since 2001. He holds his National D and National Y licenses. Scott has been heavily involved in the Butler County Soccer Association for many years, including various positions on its board of directors and is the current President of BCSA. As a part of BCSA and Northern Crew he has run many group skill and training sessions for junior-age players, and has run numerous coaching education sessions for coaches.

I believe it is imperative that coaches at the junior level maintain a balance between fun and learning. I hope all players put forth 110% effort at all times, and enjoy playing and practicing away from organized practices. I am also a firm believer that players at the junior level should play all positions, in order to fully develop their understanding of the game. In my opinion, the most important thing for junior-age players is ball mastery. We must embrace creativity and confidence with the ball.

Thinks the best attribute for a player is: Hustle, 110% effort, 100% of the time!
